Teaser Tuesday!

Afternoon Kindle-ites! Here is this weeks edition of Teaser Tuesday! What? You’ve never heard of it? Well.. let me fill you in. Teaser Tuesday is a fantastic way to get a sneak peak at book you may or may not have ever considered reading before PLUS… you get a chance to see what everyone else has to offer.

All you have to do is:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share (in the comments) 2 “teaser” sentences (or a paragraph…I’m not picky) from somewhere on that page (BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! you don’t want to give too much away!)
- And then tell us where you got it! (Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!)

Blood Rights – Kristen Painter

The Synopsis:

The lacy gold mapped her entire body. A finely-wrought filigree of stars, vines, flowers, butterflies, ancient symbols and words ran from her feet, up her legs, over her narrow waist, spanned her chest and finished down her arms to the tips of her fingers.

Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré—a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

My Tease – Page 73:

“Hallucinations plagued his atrophied brain.  Memories of his human life flitted in and out like tortured butterflies.  The moan of please from his wife’s lips.  His daughter’s laugh.  The wildflower scent of their chestnut curls.  Their dying pleas.  Their torn throats.  Their blood.  His past became a torturous mix of dreams and delusions.  Had he done those things? He couldn’t remember.  Couldn’t tell truth from lie.  He wept dry tears over the chaos in his head.”

Well here is my teaser on Thursday :)

“He had a point. I knew that. But fr some reason, that made me even angrier. It’s easy for him to say Dad’s overreacting. He didn’t see Rachel or her father- he has no idea how serious the disease is, how it can turn you into a whole different person.”

Have you read Daughter of Smoke and Bone? If not you need to. Well…you need to use an Audible credit anyways, the narration is BRILLIANT and the book is fantastic.

  3. Farin says:

No I have not read it yet. I will have to add it to my ever growing list. I am listening to Die For Me per your suggestion. I’m liking it.

Have you been reading the book club book? J.C. already finished and school got me behind.
