KO Book Club

Hello Kindle-ites and welcome to the KO Book Club!
I am so excited about this I can hardly contain myself. I love discussing books with other avid readers and doing it with people that don’t mind my judgemental nature is even better.
So here is what you need to know to get started.
1. Click the Book Club image at the top of the page to be taken directly to the KO Club forum. Click register and fill out the mumbo jumbo it ask you for (example: Log-in name & Password)
2. Visit both the Welcome and Introduce Yourself topics, just to familiarize yourself a little with the forum
3. Make YOUR recommendation as to what you want all of us to read.
Once all of us have agreed, (or at least there is a majority vote) we will grab our books and get busy. The goal is to read 2-4 chapters a week. I know that I am super busy and I know most of you are too, so if you think the number of chapters is unreasonable…we can always discuss it and come up with a better solution.
Each weekend (Saturday or Sunday – it’s up to you) your duty is to log on to the KO forum (which can always be accessed through the image at the top of the page) and give your 2 cents on the chapters we read. Ask questions, give opinions…etc. Comment away and be sure to be honest! This isn’t a competition so there are no winners, just good friends having friendly (sometimes heated) conversations about something they are passionate about.
I will always keep you up to date on what we are reading through this page, so if you aren’t interested in what we are reading at the moment be sure to stop by here and check for the upcoming novel. I will also be posting Facebook and Twitter updates notifying everyone when our current read is almost up so you can start coming up with your own suggestion.
Again… I hope everyone has a blast, that what this is ultimately about.
Happy reading!
Misty

Amazon Best Books of the Month, September 2011: Erin Morgenstern’s dark, enchanting debut takes us to the black and white tents of Le Cirque des Reves, a circus that arrives without warning, simply appearing when yesterday it was not there. Young Celia and Marco have been cast into a rivalry at The Night Circus, one arranged long ago by powers they do not fully understand. Over time, their lives become more intricately enmeshed in a dance of love, joy, deceit, heartbreak, and magic. Author Morgenstern knows her world inside and out, and she guides the reader with a confident hand. The setting and tone are never less than mesmerizing. The characters are well-realized and memorable. But it is the Night Circus itself that might be the most memorable of all. –Chris Schluep
